Small enough to move freely, large enough to make genuine connections. Pick the month that works for you, check the available spots, and register your interest directly from this page.

What Is Included in Every Group Tour

Can’t Find the Right Month, or a tour?
If nothing in the current schedule lines up with your dates, send us an enquiry through the contact page. We will let you know about upcoming additions and we can also discuss a private departure based on your interests and plan it ready to go on your own schedule.
What to Expect on a Group Tour with Us
Our group tours are built around one idea: put the right riders together, put them on the right roads, and get out of the way. Here is what every departure includes.
The Bikes
Every rider in the group gets a quality, well-maintained motorcycle matched to the terrain of the tour. Our group tour fleet runs the Honda XR150, Honda XR190, Honda CB500X, and BMW GS. When you enquire, let us know your experience level and preferred bike and we will match you to the right machine. All bikes are serviced before every departure.
Premium Accommodation
Every night on tour is a 3, 4 or 5-star property. No compromise on this. We choose hotels and boutique stays based on location and character. After a full day in the saddle, where you sleep matters. Breakfast is included at every property.
Your Riding Guide
Your guide rides with the group from day one to the last day. Not in a support vehicle and not at a briefing desk. They know the roads, the conditions, the fuel stops, the shortcuts, and the spots worth stopping for. They have ridden these routes many times. Their job is to make sure you get the most out of every day on the road.
Full Support Vehicle
A dedicated support vehicle runs with every group tour. Your luggage travels in the vehicle between hotels so you ride with nothing strapped to the bike. The support crew handles mechanical issues, carries the first aid kit, and is on call throughout. You will barely notice it is there until you need it.
Permits and Border Crossings
All road permits, sightseeing entry fees, and border crossing documentation for the Vietnam to Laos crossing are sorted before the tour departs. Nothing for you to arrange, nothing to pay at the gate.
The Routes: Vietnam and Laos Group Tours 2026
We cover the routes worth riding. Northern highlands, central coast roads, the full length of Laos, and the Mekong delta in the south. Each monthly departure follows one of the routes below. Check the schedule for which route runs in your preferred month.
Northern Vietnam: Ha Giang Loop
The Dong Van Karst Plateau. The Meo Vac canyon road. Hmong and Dao villages on mountain passes that most visitors to Vietnam never reach. This is the tour that riders talk about when they get home. The Ha Giang Loop is raw, dramatic, and unlike anything else in Southeast Asia. Riding is on the XR150, XR190, or CB500X depending on your preference.
Duration: 10 days. Difficulty: Moderate to challenging.
Northern Vietnam Into Laos: The West Loop
Hanoi to Luang Prabang via the mountain roads of northwest Vietnam and the Tay Trang border crossing into Laos. The Nam Ou river valley, the quiet Laotian highlands, and a finish in one of the most characterful cities in Southeast Asia. A route that connects two countries in a way that most travellers never experience. CB500X and BMW GS recommended for this route.
Duration: 14 days. Difficulty: Moderate.
Laos: Full Length North to South
Luang Prabang to the 4,000 Islands in the far south. The Bolaven Plateau, the Mekong river crossings, the provincial towns that tourism has not yet reached. Laos on its own terms, from top to bottom. Available on XR190, CB500X, and BMW GS.
Duration: 12 days. Difficulty: Easy to moderate.
Central Vietnam: Highlands to the Historic Coast
The Central Highlands into Hue, across to the coast and south to Hoi An. Coffee country, ethnic minority villages, and roads through national park terrain before the route drops down to the coast. The Hai Van Pass is on this route. XR150 and XR190 are the bikes for this one.
Duration: 9 days. Difficulty: Easy to moderate.
South Vietnam: Mekong Delta
The delta is flat, fertile, and ridden on narrow roads through rice paddies, river crossings by ferry, and riverside towns that move at their own pace. A completely different ride to the north. Short in duration, high in character. XR150 for this route.
Duration: 7 days. Difficulty: Easy.
Riding with a Group: Who This Is For
Group tours attract a specific kind of rider. Independent enough to travel alone but looking for good company on the road. Not interested in tourist coach routes or packaged sightseeing. Comfortable on a bike and ready to put in proper days of riding through terrain that makes it worthwhile.
Solo Riders
The majority of our group tour riders book as solo travellers. You arrive not knowing anyone. By the end of the first full riding day, the group has found its pace and its character. Eight is small enough that nobody stays a stranger for long.
Couples & Small Groups of Friends
Joining with a partner or a riding friend is common. The small group format means you keep the connection you came with while meeting riders from other parts of the world. A group of eight with two pairs and four solos is a typical mix.
Experience Level
You need to be confident on a motorbike on varied terrain. You do not need to be an expert. Our guides set the pace for the group based on what is in front of them on day one. Nobody gets pushed beyond their comfort level and nobody gets held up by riders who need more space.

FAQ: Common Questions About Joining a Group Tour
How many riders are on each tour?
Maximum eight. That is the limit for every departure we run and it does not change regardless of demand. If a particular tour does not reach the 8 rider, we run it regardless of the number or riders, even with 1 rider.
When do the monthly tours depart?
We run one / two group departure per month throughout our event tours 2026 / 2027. The full schedule with departure dates, routes, and available spots is listed above. Dates for the second half of 2026 are added on a rolling basis, so check back or send an enquiry if your preferred month is not yet showing.
What bikes are available?
Our group tour fleet covers the Honda XR150, Honda XR190, Honda CB500X, and BMW GS. Bike allocation depends on the route and your experience level.
Are meals included?
Breakfast at your accommodation is included every day. Lunch and dinner are your own choice by default, which means you eat where you want and spend what you like. Fully catered options are available on request when you book.
Can I join if I have never ridden in Vietnam before?
Yes. Many riders on our group tours are riding in Vietnam or Laos for the first time. Your guide knows the conditions and calibrates the group accordingly. The pre-tour pack also prepares you for what to expect on the road before you arrive.
What happens if a tour is full?
Send an enquiry and we will add you to the waiting list for that departure. Spots do occasionally open up. We will also let you know the next available date for the same route.
Can I do a private tour instead of joining a group?
Yes. If you want to set your own dates and itinerary, our private tour option covers exactly that. Get in touch through the contact page and we will put together a quote.Share
