According to our local experience, the best time to ride the Ha Giang on a motorbike tour is from September to April, when weather conditions are cooler, with less and or little to no rain.
- September–November: Best conditions, rice terraces and clear skies.
- December–February: Cold and dry but less tourists
- March–April: Milder temperature

What's the best bike for the Ha Giang Loop ride?
This is depends on whether you choose an On road tour and or the off-road. Generally, Honda XR150 for the very light off-road and backroad ride while the CRF 300 series are the best pick for off-road ride. We also suggest CB500x for those interested in more comfort ride on paved roads.
